Choose RC ride height, droop and alignment gauges

Start with the setting you want to measure. Choose a gauge with the right range, measuring surfaces and attachment for the chassis you work on.

Set a repeatable height reference

Use a flat setup surface and the same chassis measuring points. Check the height range of the gauge before buying and whether you can see its scale from your working position.

Distinguish droop from wheel angles

Check whether the fixture measures suspension travel or the angle of a wheel or hub. A measuring system made for one scale or platform may use a different attachment on another.

Compare the exact kit contents

Some setup stations include support blocks or multiple gauges. Others provide only part of the setup. List the measuring surfaces and pieces you already own before selecting a kit.

Guide questions

Should I buy a station just to check ride height?

A dedicated height gauge may cover that task. Check its measuring range and the point it contacts.

Do setup fixtures always measure on the tire?

Some reference the wheel and some attach at the hub. Follow the exact tool's documented installation.

How can I compare two readings?

Repeat the measurement on the same flat surface with the same chassis points and setup conditions.

Which accessory suits the job?

  1. The GLOBACT lever covers a listed 3 to 42 mm height range. The AMK fixture adds alignment readings for micro RC platforms. Compare the required reading and attachment before choosing.
